Our 1st day in schoolDr. Mrs. YGP has been conferred the Padmasri this year for her services in the field of education. We, at Calibre Academy, went across to her residence to congratulate her and felicitate her on this achievement of hers. We spent a very pleasing half an hour with her, exchanging pleasantries, while she plied us with some delicious cake and sweets.
On being asked how it felt to be a Padmasri awardee, she replied in her usual candid manner that she did not feel any different and that at her age such recognitions did not make much of a difference. She has lived her life on her own terms and that is what matters, was her declaration.
She was gifted a huge card, in the shape of a lotus, signifying her award ,along with a bouquet of lotuses. Long live Mrs. YGP!!!
