Independence Day Celebrations

August 14th 2010, Calibre Academy, Krishnaswamy Avenue celebrated the Independence day, a grand and colourful affair. Students of Pre-Kg to Std 1 recreated our Indian map by highlighting the different states - their dress, their food, music, dance and all the important places, flora and fauna of the respective states.

Students of Std 2 and Std 3 entertained the audience with patriotic songs and famous speeches of our leaders and some amazing Yoga demonstration by the students.

On 15th Aug.’10 the flag was hoisted in the Avvai Shanmugam Salai by Col. Tushar Bhakey who also shared his army experiences with the students of Std.4 - 9 and also answered the questions fielded to him by the students. Earlier the students sang the school song and delivered speeches in Tamil and English.
